Benzema’s position on playing against Barcelona after his injury against Liverpool

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema spoke about his position on facing Barcelona next Sunday in El Clasico in the 26th round of La Liga.
Benzema was injured in the last minutes of the Liverpool match, which ended with the victory of Al-Mirenji with an unanswered goal scored by the French star, in the second leg of the Champions League final.
Benzema said, in statements to the Spanish “El Cherenjito” program: “I will be with Real Madrid in El Clasico for sure.. I will be there next Sunday.”
And the French star commented in televised statements after the meeting, which was hosted by the (Santiago Bernabeu) stadium, “I suffered a strong bruise in the ankle. It is just a bruise.”
The owner of the number 9 shirt also spoke about the victory of the royal team in the return match, during which Al-Merenji confirmed the sweeping superiority in the first leg, with a score (2-5).
He added, “It was a difficult match against a strong opponent, but we showed, from the start, that we want to move forward in the championship. It was a good match for the fans, and for everyone.”
The French star did not show his preference for facing a particular opponent in the quarter-finals, whose draw will take place next Friday.
He concluded, “All teams are strong. There are no small clubs at this level, and it is the small details that decide the matches. We will see which team we will face.”
