Real Madrid rate Bayern Munich winger highly

Real Madrid heading into the summer transfer window with a few objectives, one of which could be to shore up their options in the offensive unit.
With Karim Benzema entering the final phase of his career and struggling with injuries, and the club lacking any proper alternative, the need for a new forward has been accentuated. Barcelona are particularly looking for a right winger, who can compete with Rodrygo.
According to ABC (h/t Madrid Xtra), one of Real Madrid’s options could be Kingsley Coman. The club rate the Bayern Munich star highly due to his pace and attacking ability, coupled with his versatility.
A right winger by trade, Coman is indeed someone who is capable of operating on both flanks. The Frenchman is also gifted with a blistering pace that makes him a key weapon on counter-attacks.
This is where Coman becomes an appealing target for Real Madrid. And with various accolades to his name, the 26-year-old has a winning mentality that could fit in seamlessly with Los Blancos.
However, the report suggests Real Madrid are not likely to make a move for Coman. This is because the forward, whose current contract at Bayern does not expire until 2027, is expected to command a hefty price tag. It would make him unaffordable for the Whites, who are prioritising other options in the market.
Jude Bellingham, for one, has emerged as a top target for Real Madrid for the summer ahead. However, it must be noted that the club may contemplate a move for another Bayern Munich star next summer, in the form of Joao Cancelo.
The Man City fullback, currently on loan at Bayern, had preferred a move to Real Madrid in January. Although the club did not entertain the option, the scenario may change at the end of the season, as they look for a proper long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.
