Real Madrid

Officially..Real Madrid announces the absence of its promising striker and veteran defender from the derby and El Clasico

Bad news for Real Madrid. The club has issued two medical reports to report the injuries to Alaba and Rodrygo, who both ended up with physical problems in the match against Liverpool that forced them to be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

The club reports that the Austrian central defender suffers “a muscle injury in the distal third of the right femoral biceps,” while the Brazilian “an injury to the left piriformis muscle.” Both remain pending evolution according to Real Madrid.

The two players are out for Saturday’s derby and everything indicates that they will also miss the duel against Barça next Thursday. Alaba will be out for about a month while Rodrygo will need about ten days.

Betis, Espanyol, Liverpool (Champions) and Barcelona in the League are the other games that Alaba can miss due to a muscle tear. Rodrygo also suffers a break, although less seriously.

Tchouameni is back

The good news for Madrid is that Tchouaméni is back, who trained with the group this morning. Ancelotti is now waiting to get Mendy back, who is still not training with the group although he is improving. Tchouaméni missed the games against Osasuna and Liverpool due to the flu but will be ready against Atlético. Mendy suffered a tear in the semimembranosus muscle of his left leg on January 31 and could also return in about ten days.
